What better time to practice yoga which invites us to explore and marvel at the mystery and wisdom of the body and the unique life that has been given to us than during pregnancy! Careful modifications from a regular practice need to be made to prevent overstretching and other problems as the weight of the uterus, fluids, and hormonal and other profound changes occur. Yoga can help relieve some of the physical problems that can occur during pregnancy, such as low back strain; and in training us to relax and become more aware is excellent preparation for labor and delivery. It is advised that students discuss their plans to attend this class with their health care practitioners.
