Yoga for Kids is a program for elementary school age children. This class is designed with the whole child in mind. Dawn’s goal is to provide a safe and fun environment for children to increase their body awareness, stretch and tone major muscle groups and to build confidence and positive attitudes. I will use yoga poses, songs, music and creative movement, stories and games that exercise social, sensory and motor skills while increasing strength, coordination and flexibility. Students will learn different breathing, relaxation and visualization techniques that will help them develop their own personal skills for focusing and quieting the mind.
